Reflecting on Feedback
For my peer review I did not receive much feed back, but I decided that I would make some final changes myself. I decided that I would try to put more figurative language into my writing. My poems expressed frustration and some talked about over coming them. I talked about situations with friendships that happen in everyday life. Tyesha stated that I could use more imagery in my writing, so I decided that the vague pictures that I did make I would make them more descriptive. Tyesha also stated how she liked the fact that in my poem I was talking about how I wasn’t going to let anyone steal my joy from me. I was trying not to put a lot of anger and frustration in my work, but that’s what poetry is all about. Carmen was another peer reviewer and she stated that I should use punctuation in my poetry. I thought it was a good idea for some of my poems but not all of them because I wanted a lot of them to just flow and keep going.
