Composition #1: A Short-Short Story
Trapped. Scared. Silent. Closed in walls. No one was around to hear me scream. “Oh my God!” It feels as though I’m falling, but there is no landing point. I’ve never been so afraid in my life. This is definitely a dream that I was about to wake up from. My ears began to pop as if I was on an airplane. I can’t see anything. Everything is pitch black. What happened to me just being at home sitting on my living room sofa? My mom was just about to make some nachos for dinner. I could smell the cheese, the well cooked meat, and the hot peppers. ”Mmhmm.” I’m still falling! Where am I going? As I try to open my mouth, nothing comes out of it. I’m sweating, panicking, and my heart is beating faster than ever. Wait! I see some light! Maybe someone is coming to save me after all. As I strain my eyes to look closer, I see these gigantic eyes staring at me. I try to make myself fall even faster, but these eyes keep looking at me. ” Help help help me somebody please!” I imagined myself saying these words, but of course my lips were sealed. The enormous eyes began to grow a head. This was the end of everything for me. I just knew that my life was over. The big eyes and head began to grow a body and arms. I closed my eyes and jumped frantically . The monster was in my face and he was slowly reaching to grab me. I tried to fight the monster off, but he was one thousand times stronger than me. I began to scream to the top of my lungs, but that only angered the big beast. Gooey things began falling from the side of his mouth. i was afraid and disgusted. I had never believed in monsters until now. He picked me up with one hand and threw my slender body into the back of his throat. This was definitely the end…
